Where are you Spring????

I am sooooooo ready for warmer, drier weather!! We have had way more snow than is normal for the south this winter!  Hoping it will help usher in the warmer weather, I've started on my dresses for the spring/summer.  These can be customized with a monogram or an applique.  Most of the fabric and color combinations can be worn throughout the year just add a blouse or turtleneck or long-sleeve shirt underneath for the cooler weather. These dresses are $35 as is or $40 with a monogram.

A Few of the Custom Orders I've Done

I have done quite a few custom orders for people around the county.  Here are a few pictures of those.  I am in the process of creating some aprons for Patina in Covington and appliqueing some tea towels for them to sell in their shop.  Pictures of those coming soon!!

The first picture is a custom appliqued tee that I did for my sister who teaches at BMS.  I included an order form with her shirt just in case a "few" wanted one...Well, I was shocked at how many orders I got from this tee....over 40 from BMS and a few more at the Fall Frenzy!!! Wow!!  One of the advisors of the BMS National Junior Honor Society contacted me about creating them some polos for their officers.  The second photo is a picture of those polos.  The final picture is a custom order from Fall Frenzy...Although I am NOT a Charger fan (Cougars and Cardinals are my teams! LOL!!), I think this is one of my favorites so far.  The purple with the zebra fabric and the gold thread just POPS!! Love it!! Contact me with any custom orders you may have!!!!

Custom Orders.....You think it, I can most likely DO IT!!!

I have been approached by several ladies (and a couple of men, too!) to design shirts, aprons, or whatever for their businesses or groups.  Leeann, the Junior Auxiliary President, asked me to design a tee for them and she took it to their meeting in Mississippi and got LOTS of orders for me from ladies here, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Arkansas!! Thanks to Leeann!!!  Here is a picture of that Tee!!

I go Wednesday to a boutique on the square to help them design aprons for their employees and possibly help them out with some other things.  Things are picking up that for sure!!!!

Pillowcase Dresses and Jumpers with Long Bloomers

Back in the spring, I was looking for some dresses for my daughter to wear for Church or just any day around the house or errand runs.  She's so much a Girly Girl and most dresses I saw in her size are just way too old for her age!  I decided since I can sew (thanks to my wonderful Mother!!), I would make her some pillowcase dresses.....Not out of handkerchiefs or bandanas....I made my own pillowcases for the dresses.  They were so simple to make.  Here are a few that I've made.....

I have also done her a couple jumper sets that are reversible....one with an applique funky "S" and one with her 3-letter Monogram....My mother actually showcased her jumper similar to these at the Fall Frenzy this past Saturday.....Here are the jumpers...

The Show of ALL SHOWS!!!!

I am so so so so EXCITED about how Saturday was at Junior Auxiliary's 1st Fall Shopping Frenzy!! My booth did AWESOME and I met LOTS of new people, sold LOTS of items, and took SEVERAL orders! My mother also had some of her items there as well and took several orders herself!!! She was a BIG help!!! Thanks , Mama, I love you!!! The ladies of the Junior Auxiliary did an AWESOME job putting together this great event.  There was over 80 vendors present.  You surely could not tell that this was their first year doing this.  They were so organized and helpful!  I was thankful to be able to set up inside at this show and it was GREAT!!!  Thank you ladies of Junior Auxiliary for all of your hard work to make this what it was! I will DEFINITELY be back next year with TWO vendor spaces!!! LOL!!!! Here are some pictures of my set-up from the "FRENZY"!!!!

Celebrate Munford 2009

OK...This was my first time being a vendor for my business.....Needless to say it was a HORRIBLE day!! Not only was it a rescheduled date, but it was also C-O-L-D (brrrrrrrrr) and BREEZY.  We had to fight the wind blowing my inventory around and the crowd was not what it usually is!!  Anyway, we did learn one thing and that's how to set up our booth!! See pics!!

Stepping out into the world of BLOG!!!

Hello Blog world!!!!  I was challenged by a really sweet girl (thanks Christie!!) on Saturday at the Junior Auxiliary Fall Frenzy to start my own blog for my business, Sassy Stitches.   Well,  HERE I AM!!!!!  Bear with me as I try to figure this thing out!
